Amsterdam Ergohead: January 19th 2014

Amsterdam Ergohead: January 19th 2014

Registration for this 20 minute race is now open.

http://www.ergohead.nl/

The generous hosts charge no entry fee for overseas competitors. I've raced the last two and enjoyed both occasions; it's a very well-run event.

Hotel prices in Amsterdam are very reasonable; maybe, it's the time of the year. I managed to book Eurostar and Thalys trains for just under £100 return. It's around five hours between St Pancras & Amsterdam Central with a change at Brussels.

Regards,

Joe

Although 20 minutes suits me I wont be there in 2014, (I know I did the Euros the week after last time but got my eyes on plenty of other international races in Jan/Feb). Good news on the fare for getting there by train - have to admit with regular flights from Birmingham to Amsterdam I hadn't bother to look at that. Hope you have a great time.

Looking likely to be doing this - got some mates who live in Amsterdam, cheap flights from Sofia - all adds up to a good excuse for a weekend away!

Not sure how you train for a 20min race though....lots of 5ks and 10ks I'd imagine - intervals not really necessary given the race distance.

Remember - every winner of the open or lightweights category who breaks the current record wins 1000 euros price money: last winner for example Steffen Bonde (Danmark) and Roel Braas (Netherlands).
